Minsk never was a city renowned for its baguettes and croissants. Until now.
Brø Bakery is a small craft bakery located in a quiet backyard on Marjeuskaya st, 5a within a 10 min walk from another Minsk landmark, Victory Square. The bakery was opened in 2017 and has been a hidden gem for quite a long time even for the locals. There are no signs screaming that the best brioche, pasteis de nata or pain de Campagne are made here. It’s located in the basement of the office-like building to the right of the public bath called ‘Laznya’. The only thing that suggests there’s a bakery there is a small sign on the glass door saying ‘Brø Bakery’ and the smell of freshly baked bread you can detect from hundreds of meters around.
It is rather tightish, no place to sit. Just drop by, grab a few croissants, get a take-away coffee from one of the cafes scattered around and enjoy at the bench outside.
The place is open all week long from 10am till 7pm. Keep in mind that it may be a little crowded on the weekends but it’s 100% worth dropping by.
