These days, lots of burger places are trying to impress us with fancy ingredients, hipster sauces and unusual naming. Complexity is impressive, but simplicity is genius, they say. This is why sometimes all it takes to make a perfect burger is simply doing it right at every step.

And this what the guys from Burger Lab pull off with almost scientific precision. Maybe it’s the reason they have ‘Lab’ in their name. The place is located in the art space Dandy Landy in 19 Kastryčnickaja st. Just turn into the courtyard from the street and you’ll spot it by the black barrels placed outside. The place itself is nice and inviting, nothing pretentious or flashy about it. You’ll feel comfortable there both alone and with your friends. I always drop by at this place when I want to enjoy taste over looks.

The menu offers 8 burgers to choose from (incl. vegetarian ones) that you can customize with the extra toppings and different sides. The drink menu is not big, just the alcohol and non-alcohol basics to complement your perfect meal. My favourite combo is a roast beef burger and a glass of draught ‘Blance de mazai’ beer.

Keep in mind that like most places in hip Kastryčnickaja st, Burger Lab may be a little bit crowded in the evenings, especially over the weekend, but this place is hands-down a mecca for burger lovers.
