Lo-Fi Social club is a place for events in Minsk. Parties, markets, exhibitions and art-workshops are frequently held here. It’s situated in an old factory, and I always feel a vibrant, people-driven atmosphere here.
The soul of this place is DIY culture. A couple of years ago, a group of friends (a theatrical director, a creative copywriter and a designer & tattoo artist) decided to make, well, something. They didn’t want their space to be limited to some particular sphere — if you want to do something, just do it. Why would you need some “special” place for it?
So, they found this old factory. A warehouse and an engineer room were here earlier. As they have stated in the media, they were cleaning the place 8 hours a day for 1.5 months and moved out 300 tons of trash. Then, they made some kind of decorative design inside. Well, it’s really “some kind”, but it looks unexpectedly cool.
They don’t have any fixed working hours, so check their facebook page to get to know about their upcoming events. I always attend the parties and social-purpose-driven markets here, as well as the art exhibitions. If you like similar stuff, this is definitely the place for you!
