“Ў” Gallery was the best contemporary art ’’discovery’’ when I came back to Minsk in early 2010 after a few years of living abroad. I guess anyone having experienced life away from home knows how it feels to be a stranger in your own country. Projects like “Ў” Gallery certainly smoothed the transition to the new old reality.
“Ў” Gallery moved to Kastryčnickaja str. (check out my article!) and has been hosting exhibitions, performances and large-scale projects (often in cooperation with other institutions and initiatives) in its new spacious venue since summer 2018. Being (co)organising diverse multi-disciplinary events (round tables, workshops, lectures, seminars, art residences) the gallery rightly self-identifies as a platform for communication between spectators, artists, curators, art managers, critics and researchers.
Whether it’s a one-day event (like a charity auction in support of Pink October) or long-term cooperation within a multi-actor project (such as Vulica Brasil festivals), “Ў” Gallery always supports creative spirit, the freedom of artistic expression and experimental endeavors by local and international artists and enthusiasts.
Come join an after-party or just enjoy a glass of wine after one of the events at “Ў” Bar.
