Inspired by Berlin’s biergarten (beer garden), here’s the Montrealer version. It’s based in the former garage of the Old Montreal brewery in an industrial area of the Mile-Ex district. The decor is minimalist: concrete walls, wooden picnic tables, light bulbs garlands hanging from the ceiling, a big garage door and several picnic tables aligned in the truck loading dock where you get the best sunset.
Local beers – including a special IPA created exclusively for Alexandraplatz – and refreshing cocktails to drink, a tacos and veggie hot-dogs stand are always waiting for you, with the chance to experience some new food trucks here and there. It’s simple and very friendly.
Every second Wednesday for the whole summer there’s the Weinplatz evening to discover natural wines and other nonsense. Enjoy!
Every month, there’s a special Saturday called Marché de nuit (Night market), it is intended as a block party to discover few craftsmen, DJs, and enjoy the presence of some street food trucks. Just another good reason to get together and enjoy summer.
Be advised that the best way to get there is by bike, or on foot.
*The bar is only open for the spring & summer seasons. May to October.
