Pre-COVID lockdown time the Gallery and Atelier of Marc Gosselin was one of my weekly stops when going from art gallery to art gallery on the evening of art exhibition openings, like Art Mûr or COA. I actually don’t remember which show I saw first and how I did open his door the first time. But one thing’s for sure: I have always witnessed interesting pieces of art on his walls and I always come back — an important sign. The gallery is also the venue for many group exhibitions of up to 50 artists or more, so check its schedule and announcements.
Recently, in the end of May 2020, he just re-opened to the public and it’s always nice to visit this address. Between exhibiting the work of local artists, the gallery shows Marc Gosselin’s work, often inspired by Montreal urban landscape but not only: furniture made by Atelier East End is presented as well which always gives a slick design touch to the place.
At the end, it’s one more stop on the map of Hochelaga — stopping by the Sino first, looking at the mosaics on the walls, then having a coffee or drink at the Atomic cafe before more city exploration toward the Olympic park is never a bad idea.
