One of my favourite things to do in Montreal is to seek out independent cafes around the city. I grab a drink and a snack, have a seat and enjoy the unique atmosphere, observing my fellow patrons as I sip. Caffè Farina on Notre-Dame Street West in the heart of Saint-Henri is quickly becoming one of my favourite spots to have a quality coffee in a place that has a European flair.
One aspect of Caffè Farina that I like is the way it looks inside. The owners really did a great job of recreating an Italian-style coffee bar with all marble tables including a marble countertop where you place your order. They even have a few flat screen television screens making it a good place to watch any sporting events. But besides the delicious Nutella panettone that I had, the best thing about Cafe Farina is the coffee. Strong and rich, it’s the main reason that I’ll be back.
