I want to give a shoutout to L’étiquette Vintage, one of my favourite vintage stores in Montreal. The store opened in Fall 2019 on Boulevard Saint-Laurent in Mile End and was supposed to be a temporary project until February 2020, but they are still there and I’m still buying!
L’étiquette Vintage is a collective that unites five Montreal vintage brands; Private Party Vintage, la Petite Veste Rouge, LivingWithZoey Atelier, La Mere Vintage and Les Dames Vintage. The clothes are of great quality and the prices are very reasonable. My last purchase was a Levi’s jeans in excellent condition for $68. There are no taxes applied on the clothing.
I take many walks on Boulevard Saint-Laurent and, weak as I am, I hop in to browse through their new items whenever I pass by. I find something nice every time. Not to brag (or maybe just a little), but when I wear an item that I bought there, people always compliment me on it.
If you look up the address on Google Maps, it is possible that you will see ‘Gender Mannequins’ on that location. It’s not a mistake, this is the place to be. Gender Mannequins was at that location before L’étiquette Vintage took over. I’m not 100% sure, but I think they are using some of the mannequins from the previous store to present the clothing. The perfect transition!
