Padoca patisserie is a little Brazilian bakery and restaurant that, while it’s close to my apartment for a while, I had not discovered until a few months ago.
I was first introduced to their delicious chocolate cake at work when one of my colleagues, who is Brazilian, brought it for everyone to try. It’s a perfect cake for when you feel like having a decadent yet still light dessert. The cake is light and moist, bringing the perfect texture, and the ganache on top brings the chocolate kick that it needs to be all-around delicious.
I made it my mission to go and visit the actual place and I was happy to find a very cute little restaurant, with a counter full of pastries to try, cute little wooden tables and a very sweet staff.
They also offer traditional Brazilian savoury meals, but I like to go there in the afternoon, when it’s really not busy, and have a generous piece of cake as a snack.
