This is a lovely coffee place almost at the corner of Sherbrook and Bleury street, when it becomes avenue du Parc. It’s the place I go to regularly when I want to escape from my office in the afternoon to get a coffee and then come back, or find some quietness to read a research article while sipping my drink. Of course you could read your city guide or any book too.

As you enter the shop, the delicious coffee aroma kicks in — no surprise there, as they collaborate with the local coffee roaster St-Henri. Then, the nice staff is there to take your order. You feel the house was built around the long coffee bar: with the tiny table on one side and more spaces in the back, with a little mezzanine and larger table, cool lighting, pipes everywhere, it’s as if you were inside a coffee espresso machine.

While I discovered it during the winter, I like the place in the summer too. During the positive temperature season, all their drinks can be ordered in their iced version for the same price. if you knew how warm and humid it can be you wouldn’t hesitate for long to add ice to your cup.
