Whenever I feel that local designers are underrepresented in my wardrobe, HHLVK (Khokhlovka) is my go-to place. First, they offer a really great selection of young designers from the post-Soviet states, saying that they are focused on slow fashion brands. I would especially recommend checking out HHLVK if you are into minimalist, oversized, avant-garde clothing. They do have an online store, but I prefer visiting their brick-and-mortar location and taking my time to actually try on all those intricate and wonderful pieces. In addition to clothing, they also have lingerie, shoes, bags, accessories, and a variety of jewelry brands.
The second thing I love about HHLVK is its location. The shop is situated in the so-called Art Quarter, which is essentially a passage housing a few stores and enterprises. Take a few minutes to explore it: you are bound to stumble upon some street art. Local authorities have already started renovating the Quarter, but you can still catch a glimpse of it before it’s wiped out.
