I guess everyone is familiar with this type of restaurant, where you go, order your food in different corners of the premise, enjoy it, and pay after, while leaving. It’s called ‘fast casual’, as long as the food is of course better than in fast food chains, but still there are no waiters, so you do self-service. Probably the most famous restaurant of this kind is ‘Vapiano’ which you can find in many countries in the world. When I feel ready for this type of service, I go to ‘Marketplace’ in Moscow.
This spot with its roots deriving from Saint Petersburg opened in Moscow not so long ago, but gained respect and popularity already. As it’s quite profitable, the fact one more restaurant was opened in a shopping center, looks reasonable. Still, I’m more into the spot located on Myasnitskaya Street. I discovered it more than 2 years ago, and since then, I visit it from time to time with my friends, to enjoy food and atmosphere.
Well, when you’re in there, you need to take a special card you’ll record on everything you order. And that’s it! All you have to do is choose your food, wait for it to be cooked, and grab it when it’s done. And of course to take a place, as ‘Marketplace’ may be crowded, especially on a Saturday night.
When choosing food, I recommend trying their oven menu, as well as pasta, soups, and Asian stuff.
And don’t you dare to miss their desserts!
