Those who know Pokrovka street well, know that even before it became a lovely semi-pedestrian zone, it had hosted a couple of great spots made by enthusiasts. I still remember pub Sosla i Lipa residing in the small basement and sharing it with coffee place Kooperativ Cherny. But with time, the place was getting more and more popular so they moved to… the place without any signs.
Let me reveals some part of the mystery – it’s located now in the same building as Na Chili (check the article “Na Chili – Tex Mex Mix“), and it was the first resident to move to this strange place that would otherwise look like an exemplary backstreet. The only way to find out is to follow the young people gathering in the yard.
Inside it’s a very hipster place with old furniture, painted brick walls and a carpet. The menu is very decent – about 10 beers on tap and some more bottled ones. But this place attracts hundreds of people every weekend (myself included) with its easy-going atmosphere and big friendly community.
