It is considered that Strogino is one of the most landscaped and cleanest districts in Moscow. And though it is in the suburbs of the city, many Moscow residents, including me, choose Strogino for rest and recreation. Stroginskaya Poyma (part of the Moscow River) and the Strogino beach attract those who want to swim and relax on the beach with a beautiful view.
In my opinion the sand on the beach is really clean, and there is no rubbish on the lawns. Despite the sign “No swimming”, vacationers, both adults and children, do swim in Stroginskaya Poyma and with pleasure. Besides, the Eurasia Swim Cup competitions were held there! The lifeguards don’t prohibit swimming.
The surrounding area is well equipped. There are clean cabins for changing clothes and toilets. It is also possible to buy ice cream or lunch in the cafe near the beach, and fans of active rest can play volleyball, walk around or ride a bicycle, rollers or a skateboard on the path laid along the whole beach.
I choose this place first of all for its purity, its rather fresh air and beautiful landscapes.
But it is better to come to Stroginskaya Poyma in the warm season and in the morning, as the place is popular and it can be difficult to find a place exactly next to the water.
