Volkonskiy – Pastry and coffee

Volkonskiy is a chain of bakeries and pastry shops. Most of all I love the Volkonsiy bakery in Big Garden. First, it is always full of light from the big windows; secondly, the sellers are very friendly; thirdly, it is convenient for me to buy some pastries or coffee to take out and carry on with my day. If there is no haste, it is possible to sit with a cup of coffee or tea on a spacious window directly inside the pastry shop.

The creators of the chain claim that Volkonskiy tries to unite French, Russian and Ukrainian culinary traditions. Also their pastries and bread are stored only for a max of 12 hours only.

However, for me, Volkonskiy is associated first of all with French croissants, coffee and a  pleasant morning. It also pleases me that their pastries and sweets are always fresh and presented in big assortments. It is always possible to find something at an agreeable price for the same quality.
