Close to the university and surrounded by many other little cafés and restaurants (like Heinrich matters or Joon) you can find a place that is just perfect for when you’re stressed or need some good vibes: When you go to Benko you can be sure you’ll get a warm welcome and a huge smile with your coffee. The atmosphere is laid back and easy, the people always relaxed and the interior simple with lots of wood. That is probably one of the reasons why you can find all kinds of people at Benko: students, residents, flaneurs, working people during their lunch break.
That lunch menu is probably another reason: it changes every day but they always offer a soup and two or three different dishes – mostly international meals that are simple but super tasty for not more than 7 Euros.
I personally love going to Benko before 11:30 and having breakfast there: I can totally recommend having the French Toast with fruit while sitting in the sun outside the café. Do you need any more reasons to go check out Benko?
