I need to admit that I’m not that much of a big architecture fan (I definitely have no idea about architecture). I do believe, though, that this building deserves an article for itself. The reason for this is its history. The building at Ainmillerstraße 22 is a normal house, by the way, meaning that it has apartments inside which people live. This house is special, though, because it is representative of the Jugendstil in Munich.
Jugendstil is an architectural style literally “made in Munich” at the change of the 19th century to the 20th century. As I have said before, I’m not the most appropriate person to give you more information about it (you’d better to make some better research about it yourself). This is one of my favourite buildings in Munich that draw my attention during my walks in the neighbourhood. I do find it impressive for one more reason: not only is this house built in the year 1900 and is still inhabited, it also has its own Wikipedia article!
