It’s the small things that make life wonderful and worth living, especially in Munich. And sometimes you’ll encounter these inconspicuous things purely coincidentally. This is precisely what happened recently when I ran along Fraunhoferstrasse. There was a group of people sitting in the outside area of the Koffischop hidden by plants, vegetables, trees and fresh fruits.
This place is like a small oasis in a hectic city. I recommend the fresh mixed smoothies, which you can have for take-away as well. They do have my favorite Portuguese pastry called pasteis de nata (kind of small tarte filled with custard). Very delicious! In Porto I was addicted to that stuff.
Basically it’s a small store with a café. You can buy coffee, tea, vegetables, fruits, small gifts, lemonade, pastries and other stuff.
My conclusion: buy coffee and lots of sweet stuff, take your blanket with you, go to the nearby river Isar and enjoy this sight of Munich!
