Luitpoldpark – For those who enjoy the silence

For most of the people in Munich, both locals and visitors, when experiencing a warm sunny day in the city, there are two standard places to make the most of it: the Olympiapark and the Englisher Garten. The result of it is two big parks completely full of people, which is definitely not what one would hope for for an easy-going, quiet day in the sun.

Still there is hope: the Luitpoldpark!

This is a beautiful park that lies almost in between Olympiapark and Englisher Garten: a great insider tip. Enjoy the view of the city from the top of the 37m tall hill called Luitpoldhügel, take a break lying in the sun, enjoy your picnic (barbecues are not allowed here – sorry!) or just get active and go for a jog among the tall trees of the park.

This is one of the parks that I enjoy hanging out just for one simple reason: you will find no people hordes here, only peace and calmness. And this is exactly how I wish to spend the warm sunny days in the city.
