Südstadt is one of the places I am not sure whether I want to share with anyone. It is when I become selfish and want to keep it for me and me only.
It is when I think that if I ever decide to change my life and open a pub, this is how it will look like:
Cosy, easy going decoration, comfy vintage couches from grandma’s times, festival and/or newspaper posters of my favourite bands on the wall, indie/alternative music playing, lively colours on the wall, a small corner stage for live performances by the local bands – I imagine a place where everyone would feel at home, a laid-back alternative place to enjoy a beer and relax after work…
Take this and add a decent, yummy menu of warm dishes (for the biggest part veggie/vegan but not only) and a special room for table football lovers (with access to not only one football table ;-)), and voilà: here you have Südstadt!
Make sure you check their website, as there is a different DJ playing every night, as well as their Facebook page for any last minute updates.
(Hint: My absolute favourite is the “Bambo” picture that is well-hidden above the bar: it’s hilarious and it always boosts my mood).
