There is one thing that I adore in Munich: this is the many well-hidden spots where one can enjoy a walk on a cosy Sunday afternoon.
Hidden in a – what many will call – a normal city neighborhood, far alway from all indiscreet visitors’ eyes, unmentioned from all tourist guides, lie many spots that offer the perfect environment for a beautiful walk, inviting the visitor to get lost, forget the time and the fact that one is in the middle of a 1.5-million-people city.
The tiny Quellenstraße at the part Au is one of these spots: feel free to enjoy your walk next to one of the channels of Isar and listen to the sound of the water, as your eyes enjoy the beauty of the trees and the vegetation. The street lies almost in the middle of the busy centre, still I promise you that you won’t hear anything but the sound of the water stream and the birds singing.
The Quellenstraße has a small secret: a beautiful water spring feeding the stream which is hidden in the lush vegetation. Look for it!
