Good news for the New York nightlife scene -- one of the oldest music venues is re-open after closing due to COVID-19! Very few dance clubs also share the label of historic landmark, but that's exactly why I love Webster Hall. Not only is it a fun place to see a live show in the main ballroom (I especially love grabbing a space along the railing of the balcony), but it holds over a century of stories inside the walls. You can read about the fascinating history that dates back to 1886 when a Polish-born cigar maker decided to build a theater.
A great line-up of bands comes through here. A few years back I saw an incredible show by Kamasi Washington who plays jazz, but you can also see plenty of indie rockers, DJs and talented singers. There are five distinct spaces (including a sports bar and studio space), so just double check to see where your show is before getting tickets.
