AuH2O – a clean and airy space with friendly staff, great music, and an even greater selection of clothing – is one of my go-to thrift stores in the Village.
It’s quite small, but don’t let the compactness fool you. There is an awesome collection of stuff, both vintage and contemporary. Plus, the smallness of the store means there are less people crowding around making the shopping experience a bit more calm and enjoyable. AuH2O has all the essentials – from vintage leather purses to light summer dresses to the odd-but-funky neon windbreaker.
The best part? Mostly everything is under twenty dollars. AuH2O also makes their pieces ready-to-wear by sanitizing the clothing before putting them on display, which means that you can walk right out of the store flaunting your new purchase.
Although AuH2O started out as a ladies-only store, the men’s section has been blossoming as well. They also have an online shop at auh2oshop.etsy.com.
The credit card minimum is $ 15 dollars, so bring cash!
