With the popularity of “fast fashion” and the environmental concerns that come along with it, I try to make it a point to not buy from the popular clothes chains and find what I’m looking for at vintage and second-hand stores. At Buffalo Exchange, there’s something for every budget: you can find outfits for under $10 or designer pieces at the fraction of the price of even consignment shops.
There are several Buffalo Exchange stores in the city, Brooklyn, and even one in Astoria, Queens, but this particular one (albeit small) is less crowded and chaotic since it’s tucked away on the not-so-busy side of Broadway near the New York University Bookstore.
I’ve picked up everything from jewelry to fancy dresses at Buffalo Exchange and it’s the first place I check out whenever I’m looking for something in particular. If it’s not at this popular location, I’m absolutely sure you’ll find it at another one. But important advice, if you love it, get it! I guarantee it will be gone if go back looking for that garment you couldn’t stop thinking about.
