Located in the heart of the Chelsea neighborhood of New York City, Chelsea Market has something for everyone. Shoppers will find tons of options to do damage to the bank account — from Moroccan handicrafts to glasses to books, including a spot for Brooklyn’s favorite flea market, Artists and Fleas.
Foodies will be satisfied to find a huge variety of eats, from seafood to doughnuts to Ethiopian delights. The best thing? Most of the shops and eateries you’ll find in Chelsea Market are outposts of local favorites. I like to start with some cheese at Saxelby Cheesemongers, hit up Los Tacos No. 1 for my main course, and for dessert head to Chelsea Creamline for a milkshake. Then I go to Corkbuzz to sample a new wine and pick up a bottle to bring home at the Chelsea Wine Vault.
If you’re still hungry, you can load up on locally-sourced groceries downstairs at the Chelsea Local market. Chelsea Market is a great place to fill up before taking a walk in the Highline Park right next door. You’ll probably need one after all the yummy food you’ll find at Chelsea Market!
