The famous Habana Outpost is New York’s first completely solar-powered restaurant. It is only open from approximately mid April till the end of October, because it is mainly an outdoor facility with some indoor seating. However, Habana Cafe, which is the original storefront, is open all year round, serving some of the same delicious food and drinks as Habana Outpost.
Habana Outpost is a great place to go if you want to go out on a nice casual date, want a family outing, or just want to stop for some great drinks and food. I like to enjoy their chicken burrito with guacomole and their Ginger Pineapple Lemonade.
Habana Outpost is also a hub for the community. They have fun summer activities for families like the kids corner and movie night. I have not had the opportunity to personally participate in the kids corner but I have participated in their movie nights. Movie nights are every Sunday at 8pm from the beginning of May until the end of October. It allows people to enjoy the food at Habana, engage with other people and enjoy a movie.
