Newly opened on Pier 17 in Manhattan’s up-and-coming Seaport district, the Heineken River Lounge is one of my new favorite summer spots in New York. With sweeping views of the Brooklyn Bridge, Manhattan Bridge, Williamsburg Bridge, East River, and Manhattan and Brooklyn skyline, the lounge offers a spacious and scenic place to relax with friends. The open indoor-outdoor bar and lounge area has games like cornhole, a floral backdrop for pictures, and wooden seating to ensure a few hours of entertainment.
I love how inexpensive and airy this place is. It’s the perfect place to come during the day or night, and I plan on coming back to watch the sunset. The lounge is also extremely accessible to nearby boutiques, cinemas, restaurants, and bars in the Seaport neighborhood.
While it can get quite loud and crowded, there is plenty of seating for everyone – something that is extremely hard to come by in most Manhattan bars.
