When you’re in the city, I personally believe there is absolutely no reason to go to Starbucks for your coffee. There is always better coffee to be had nearby. Jack’s Stir Brew Coffee has a couple of locations within New York City, though the South Street Seaport location is my favorite. The tiny surrounding neighborhood, one of the oldest in the city, is a bit of a meeting place for the old and the new. A handful of historic market buildings stand amongst the skyscrapers of the city providing a very interesting contrast.
The coffee here is all “ethically sourced, organic, [and] shade-grown.” They also serve a range of vegan baked goods to go with your delicious coffee drinks. The interior of this particular store has a very rustic and old feel to it and there are usually relatively few people sitting inside, giving guests a very interesting and quiet space to enjoy a drink, food, or to get some work done. The staff is always friendly and welcoming, and the coffee is exquisite!
