Some people don’t realize that you can have great wine tasting experience without having to travel to wine country (California) or even upstate New York. Red Hook is a quiet neighborhood on the Southern tip of Brooklyn known to New Yorkers more so as the only IKEA in the City. What used to be the best-kept secret, Red Hook Winery is now a flourishing wine venue with gorgeous views of the water, the Manhattan skyline and the Statue of Liberty.
The best part of this place is that the staff are not pretentious sommeliers, but very welcoming wine lovers who are very knowledgeable, fun and happy to explain every grape as they pour.
Take a break from city life, walk the beautiful pier, and order wine flights inside The Tasting Room. Take a bottle back to enjoy in your hotel, Airbnb or home.
