Cosmopolite scene is one of the main venues for world music and jazz in Oslo. The place has two stages, the large Cosmopolite, and the more intimate Belleville. The site is situated at Torshov, in the historical building Kulturslottet Soria Moria. t is situated out of the city centre, but easily accessible by trams #11, 12 and 13.
Cosmopolite hosts concerts several times a week, and they have an exciting program. I have attended concerts here that made me dream away to places I visited before, and the most fabulous show was Tinariwen, which reminded me of my visit to the Festival au Désert in Timbuktu.
In this area, you will also find restaurants and bars, so you can either dine before the concert or go for a drink after. If you love pizza, especially white pizza, pass by Lofthus Samvirkelag while you are in the area.
Tickets for the concerts can be booked through Ticket service (link in the program), or you can buy them at the door at Cosmopolite the day of the concert.
