Dekka Bord is a lovely little bistro restaurant on a street corner in the St. Hanshaugen/ Adamstuen area. Honestly, this is one of the best restaurant experiences I’ve had in Oslo. With maybe 4-5 tables max, you can expect stellar service from the attentive staff and owner in a really cosy environment.
The food is delicious and they specialise in Italian dishes. The paste is really great there, but they rotate the menu each week, so it really depends on what’s in season at the time. This really guarantees you’ll get quite a unique taste experience. They also have a great selection of wines of course and are experts at pairing. It’s a great place to take friends and spend the evening in a close-knit, cosy and intimate restaurant experience. It’s also perfect for a romantic candle-lit date for two.
Dekkabord is quite a hidden, extremely unique experience due to its size – you wouldn’t just pass by it randomly and be able to pop in for a bite. It’s important to book in advance as this spot is usually in high demand.
