Girontodo doesn’t even have a name outside. In fact, you wouldn’t even know it’s there if you walked by. They rely mostly on word of mouth, and for a good reason!
Located on the corner of Youngstorget (one of the main squares in Oslo) Girontodo is an Italian restaurant ideally located for a great place to eat out in the central Oslo area.
Their pizza is my favourite in Oslo; it’s really quite delicious and is served alongside several other classic Italian dishes and drinks. It’s a little on the expensive side for pizza, but the higher price is definitely justified in the quality of ingredients, taste and the art of their pizza making. I have returned here several times with family members and friends when they visit me here in Oslo.
To get into Girontodo’s, you have to go into Håndslag (bar) and up the stairs to reach the restaurant. After you’re done there, Håndslag is actually a great place to have a drink and spend the evening.
