Habsak (previously the Kasbah) is a local corner café and bar with a lovely story of two travel lovers. They met in Oslo, and a few weeks later they shared a hummus meal in Guatemala. During that meal, they came up with the idea to open a hummus hangout in Oslo. So they did!
Habsak serves the best hummus in town, and the falafel can compete among the best I have had during my travels! The menu contains meze plates, meze dishes to mix your own favorites, sandwiches, snack dishes and in addition breakfast like granola and pancakes. The menu is vegetarian- and vegan-friendly, they have Meatless Monday offers and generally affordable prices. They also make an effort to use as many ecological products as possible.
The café has a chilled ambiance, and it’s a good place to meet up with friends, to read a book and relax or to get some work done. They also have a vast choice of board games for entertainment.
