Lekter’n is a bar and restaurant that really knows how to make the most of Oslo’s long summer evenings. The action takes place on a converted barge alongside the trendy (but quite touristy) Aker Brygge waterfront strip (check the Aker Brygge article here), with fantastic views over the Oslo fjord and fortress.
Lekter’n is not exactly a ‘hidden’ spot, but sometimes when you find yourself in a place like Aker Brygge where you’re surrounded by bars, it’s handy to know which one to choose!
I like Lekter’n because most of the space is open-air and the lounge bar is decked out with comfy couches, sunbeds and beanbags under sailcloths.
DJs get the dancefloor going as the evening picks up, and Lekter’n encourages up-and-coming talent – a friend of mine sometimes steps up to the decks here. Lekter’n has friendly staff, good tunes and a great atmosphere, but it’s worth keeping in mind that it can be on the pricey side, like most places along Aker Brygge.
