Månefisken is located in an old factory house right next to Akerselva (check the Akerselva article), under the Beyer bridge. The café has kept the old style from the factory that used to be here and filled it with a bar, old furniture, and a small stage. In the café, they serve drinks (including alcoholic beverage), snacks and tapas dishes.
This café is situated right next to one of my favorite spots in Oslo – a bench where you can sit down and watch the waterfall of Akerselva and get into a peaceful mood (check the Møllefossen article). Also, from the outdoor tables on Månefisken, you can enjoy the sound of the water and the view of the upper part of the waterfall.
This is a typical summer place to enjoy a drink by the river, but it is also a great venue for events. They are open daily from May to August, and from September to April, they are open for events. Follow their FB-page for events.
The whole summer there are live DJ´s every weekend, with reggae parties every Friday.
