If you need a peaceful break, maybe meditation is just what you need? These classes are easy to follow, with simple instructions and examples from everyday life that many of us can relate to. I fell in love with these meditation classes after my first visit!
Although this is a modern Buddhist meditation centre, everyone is welcome. The classes often start with a guided relaxing meditation, followed by a practical teaching on some aspect of Buddhist meditation. The session ends with a guided meditation to practice what you just learned. You do not have to be a Buddhist to attend, and you are welcome regardless of your beliefs, religion or culture. All you need is an open mind!
The meditation centre offers courses, drop-in classes and weekend classes in Oslo. They also arrange Food for Thought evenings, where you have a guided meditation followed by a social evening with a vegetarian dinner. Most classes are in English, some in Norwegian – you will find information on the website about which language each class is held in.
The meditation centre recently moved into new premises at Majorstuen. You will find more information about events on their website and Facebook page.
