Oche – Modern darts bar

Not a fan of darts? Think again. I found Oche in 2019 through a friend and I was quite apprehensive about going to a darts bar. However, it was probably my most frequented bar of 2019!

Oche has taken the darts game, traditionally found in darker old-style pubs, and turned it into a hip and cool place to hang out on Friday and Saturday nights. It quite popular with younger generations and you’ll find everyone from couples on a date to large groups of afterwork of all genders. I really like the vibe in the place and the system works very nicely. Each group has an area with a darts board with touchscreens and sensors to automatically count up all the scoring. You don’t need to know how to play the game beforehand!

It’s perfect for people like myself who are not entirely interested in darts, but can easily go with a group of friends and enjoy a nice evening and learn something new. You won’t find many tourists here, this is definitely a truly local Oslo spot and quite close to the centre of town too.

I highly recommend coming here if you want to feel like an Oslo local, especially in the afternoon/evening time. If you ask at the counter, you can have the setup in English too, so no need to worry about the language.
