Pust (“breathe” in Norwegian) is a local coffee bar in the lovely and posh neighborhood of Majorstua, right across the street from the metro station. You don’t think much of this coffee shop the first time you go inside, let alone when you walk past it on the street. At first glance, it doesn’t give you the impression of the most polished cafe ever. No tiles on some walls and no effort to fix this, obsolete water cranes in the bathroom that makes you wonder if they are still working, and wooden pallets on the floor and the ceiling… all of which make the retro chairs look quite up to date.

But then again, this is why this place is so special: the owners have managed to create a safe and relaxing space with minimal effort! Combined with modern coffee machines and music played at low volume. Focusing only on great quality (you should definitely taste their cortado and velvet hot chocolate) and a relaxing atmosphere is what makes this place ideal for studying or catching up with a friend. I would definitely recommend you to visit this cafe!

“Lifesaving” bonus point: Pust is the nearest cafe at the football courses along Slemdalsveien, highly appreciated by all of us soccer mums freezing at our kids’ football matches in the autumn or winter.
