Ricebowl – Tasty Asian in the city centre

Ricebowl is a very popular restaurant in Oslo because of the good value meals – they serve tasty Thai food in huge portions at an affordable price. Shortly summarized I love this place because the taste is authentic Thai, they are generous with the spices if you ask for it, and all dishes on the menu can be made vegetarian.

Most often the place is busy, and sometimes you have to wait to be seated. You will move forward quickly in the line, though. In my experience, this is not a place where people hang around after they finish their meal. The service is quick, and even when the restaurant is full, you will not wait long before the food is ready.

The restaurant itself is nice but, for me, it’s too busy to spend much time after the meal. It is decorated the Thai way with different artifacts and bamboo walls. The ambiance of the restaurant is not what draws me here, it is all about the food!

My favorite dish is the red curry with vegetables and tofu, it is spicy enough to remind me of my travels in Thailand.
