Tim Wendelboe – Coffee expert

In the last years, Oslo’s coffee scene has developed to the point where one can find a decent cup of this brewed drink almost anywhere. But there is a difference between decent and extraordinary. Tim Wendelboe is a place that takes it further, much further – to the point where the majority calls it Oslo’s no.1 coffee shop and roastery. It definitely sets a high standard with its knowledge, dedication and skill, which result in a fantastic cup of coffee, obviously.

They are however lacking in the “atmosphere” department. I strongly believe that what makes a coffee shop exceptional (or any place, really), is not just the product itself, but also the atmosphere, the interior, the mood. The place should invite you to slow down, to linger, to have long interesting conversations with friends or to dive into the book you are currently reading. With basically no outside seating (except three small benches) and a very basic, almost austere interior with only a few chairs, Tim Wendelboe is not the best place for the things mentioned above. I suggest you take your coffee with you and enjoy it in a nearby park, especially when Oslo offers one of those beautiful sunny days.
