Les fables de La Fontaine is my favorite gastronomic restaurant in Paris. It is located in the long and beautiful rue Saint-Dominique in the 7th arrondissement of Paris, not far from the Champ-de-Mars and the Eiffel Tower. The restaurant’s decoration is simple, but the cuisine is surprising and succulent. It is a starred restaurant whose chef is David Bottreau. The menu highlights seafood products: hake, lean hake, bourride, tuna, crab…
Starters, dishes and desserts are often very creative. Currently, I would particularly recommend the ceviche of bluefin tuna and raspberry as a starter, roasted hake with its pan-fried chanterelles as a main course and Tanzanian chocolate with praline and caramelized hazelnuts as a dessert. The staff is very careful when they bring you your dish, they present you the contents of your plate in detail.
However, the prices are not excessive: the menu consisting of a starter + main course + dessert is only 52€! This is the restaurant I always go to when I have a special event to celebrate, such as a birthday. I strongly recommend it to all gourmets.
