It’s summer, it’s hot, so anything close to the water feels a bit nicer. It was very very hot last July in Paris so instead of being stuck (sw)eating in a bar or a restaurant, I thought it’d be the perfect time to rent one of those boats I had spotted a long time ago and have a nice tour on the Canal.
Steps to follow: Check the weather forecast, choose your day and time, go on the website, choose your boat (5, 7, 11 seats), add extras if you want some (table, snacks, etc.), check availability, book and pay online — you’re all set.
We went on a Monday evening after work, from 8 pm till 10 pm, added a table but brought our own snacks and drinks. You just need to arrive a bit earlier (15 minutes) to leave the deposit, sign the contract and get some information and instructions.
Then, sail away on the electric, license-free boat (you’re not gonna go really fast but it’s not the point) and enjoy the way! Don’t forget your speakers (we did) if you wanna add an extra-musical vibe.
The price will depend on the size of the boat and the number of hours: You can even rent it for a half-day or a full-day. Everything’s explained on their website 🙂
