I am constantly on the hunt for the most delicious cup of coffee in the proximity of my potential location; i.e. I keep track of every coffee shop in Paris, especially in my neighborhood. Sunlee Howard, located on the 1st floor of the oldest department store in Paris, Le Bon Marché, is not just a good coffee place, but also a cozy vinyl shop.
The owners are usually behind the coffee machine, and by their looks one can picture them playing in a rock band once the coffee shop is closed. Speaking of rock bands, there is a vast collection of vinyl records from all the music legends of all sorts of music: from Beethoven to The Beatles. It is rather rare these days to find a coffee shop without some typical mellow coffee shop music. The cozy booths by the panoramic windows, the infused water and their brownies make it one of my favorite places to work. During sizzling summer days, their ice coffee is a lifesaver.
