How do you feel about sunset cocktails on the top of a 1938 Art Deco masterpiece with views of the Center City skyline? Good? Great!
Bok Bar is a seasonal bar in the historic Bok Building, a former technical high school turned community hub in South Philly. You’ll find a variety of small businesses, artists, and restaurants in the Bok. If you are visiting Philadelphia between April and October, Bok Bar is where you’ll want to relax with a drink on the expansive roof deck with incredible views of the city.
If you’re hungry, Bok Bar partners with local restaurants and chefs for pop-up food offerings every week, and they also host a range of musicians and DJs on the weekends. Check their events page to see what’s on.
Make sure you time your visit right so you can catch the sunset while you are there.
To get to Bok, you can take the Broadstreet Line subway and get off at Tasker-Morris. Bok is also an Indego bike share location so you can pick up and drop off your bike rental there. Once inside the Bok Building, take the elevator 8 floors up.
If you’re in the mood for more of a fine dining experience, you might also consider Irwin’s just across the hall from Bok Bar. They have their own roof deck overlooking South Philadelphia.
