You would think Southern food and Jewish food are on opposite ends of the food spectrum, but not at Honey’s Sit N’ Eat. This popular brunch spot started in the artsy neighborhood of Northern Liberties and quickly became the place to go when you were craving southern style biscuits and gravy, or challah French toast. They were always a popular brunch spot, but with their new location on South Street in the up and coming Graduate Hospital neighborhood they have expanded to dinner also, just at this location. They are also a BYOB, so save money and bring your own alcohol to pair with the locally grown menu offerings Honey’s dishes out daily.
I know what you might be thinking, Southern and Jewish, how can this be possible? Yes, you will see pork on the menu alongside matzo ball soup. Just a warning though, you will have long waits if you go at peak brunch times, so I suggest checking out their dinner menu since you can get breakfast for dinner and to be honest, who doesn’t like that.
