Kuća kafe i čaja or ‘House of coffee and tea’ is one-of-a-kind store in Podgorica. To be honest, Montenegrins are not people famous for experimenting in any sphere of their lives — they’d rather stick to the tried-out things and habits. This is especially noticeable when it comes to the choice of our favorite tea or coffee. But, of course, not every person is like this. Many of us, especially those who love travelling and want to have a small, everyday reminder of our favorite, far away part of the world, consider this small shop as a true gem.
While local supermarkets have a boring choice of tea and coffee, in this specialized store many of exotic kinds can be found. Among 100 tea types, some of the best are Lapacho tea, Lapsang Souchon (traditional Chinese black tea, dried on smoke of pine needles), ginseng tea etc. Not strictly related to local culture, but definitely worth visiting.
