bezobalu.org Prague – Zero waste shop

Shopping
""bezobalu.org" in Prague is a zero waste grocery shop, where you have to bring your own containers. I think it's more fun like this, and for a good cause."

While shopping for food and other goods, I sometimes forget how much waste every one of us produces and that it surely some solution is needed to avoid it. The future of shopping for groceries is definitely zero waste shops where you can pour your one soap or oil and fill your own jar with salt, almonds or lentils. A great plus is that shopping like this is more fun and you are doing something for a good cause.

I am very grateful that I can participate in saving our planet by shopping in bezobalu.org, which is one of the very few places in Prague where that is possible. The selection of groceries is quite big -- I was surprised that I can buy almost all the everyday essentials for cooking there:  various kinds of rice, pasta, sugar and salt, cereals, nuts, spices, legumes, oils, eggs, dairy products and many more. They also offer some detergents, soap bars and liquid soaps as well. All the products are in bio and handmade quality. You can bring your own jar, box or buy some reusable bags for shopping.

If you like new concepts and ideas that have true meaning like I do, you can support them by visiting bezobalu.org and make one small step that will count.

Ananas Bananas – Best happy hour spot in Žižkov

Prague is not big on happy hour, but "Ananas Bananas" is a true gem. You can't get a cheaper cocktail from 4pm - 8pm - hence its popularity with students!

BIO|OKO – Alternative cinema

"BIO|OKO" in Prague is a smaller, older cinema. The seating consists of random sofas and chairs, and the film selection is quite wide. I love it!

Vzorkovna – Beer from a jar

"Vzorkovna" in Prague is a cult place, a bar most people know about. It works as a social club. What I find most impressive is its dark atmosphere...
