Ďáblický Háj – Into the woods

Do you feel a heavy weight on your chest? Don’t panic — just follow me into Ďáblický Háj, some of Prague’s biggest, closest real woods – you can either go for a walk here, have a run, even pick some mushrooms, berries or just listen to the birds as I like to do, when I have some extra time.

Take a train to Metro station Ládví and then bus no. 348 to station “Ďáblický hřbitov” (Ďáblice cemetery) and walk about 10 minutes to the “Ďáblický háj” (Ďáblice woods). On the way you’ll have a perfect chance to see how normal locals live and maybe have a quick word with some of them. Breathe the fresh air deep into your lungs. Listen to the wind. Just be.

If you need some stronger motivation, go for a scoop of ice cream or something sweet in the cute, tiny Cukrárna U Háje (Pastry shop “By the Woods“), the next woods “Čimický háj” (Čimice Woods)  nearby, just 20 minutes on foot away.
