Manifesto is a fresh new idea in the centre of Prague. It is made temporarily from containers in the middle of an ugly part of the city under a busy highway, and before Manifesto emerged here, there was only dust, garbage, waste and despair.
Now it’s a lively place full of different kinds of food, drinks, culture and music. You can come here with your kids and enjoy your ice cream or come with a bunch of friends and try many kinds of beers or wines, and in both cases, you will leave happy.
I like that you don’t have to know what you want before you come here – you’ll just check all the stands and decide what you like most. There are different places to sit at; you can choose a long table in the middle of the “restaurant street” or find a place at a more private table among flowers. There’s even a little terrace and you can watch the lively space from up there.
This is a great idea how to use an unused public space that is somehow dead, and part of the greatness for me is the fact that Manifesto will disappear when the warm days disappear… and maybe appear next year once again. So come check it until it lasts!
Oh, and forget the local money, this place is cashless.
