Papír Plojhar is a designer stationery shop located a few meters from Wenceslas Square. Plojhar family has built their company more than 135 years ago, they are originally from České Budějovice and last year their stationery expanded to Prague.
The shop was designed by design studio Atelier Monday, and paper plays the main role. I personally like this stationery shop because of the many unique brands I don't find in other shops, mostly from the Netherlands, Japan or Korea. Lately, Papír Plojhar has created some lovely collaborations with famous Czech authors like Tomski and Polanski, Mankai or Papírníci. All of the authors have a unique approach to illustration and stationery design; it is not something you will find in common stationery shops around Prague.
Papír Plojhar has an amazing selection of gifts and little treats for yourself as well as a great selection of creative stuff like modelling clay, colour pencils, origami sets or beautiful creative kits for kids — all of course on paper. You can really feel this family business is done with a lot of love for paper but, above all, for their customers.
